  • A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced Labor and Delivery nurses for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN and CA License.

    • Active BLS certification
    • Active ACLS certification
    • Active NRP certification
    • Active AWHONN certification
    • California state license required
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts
      • Shift starts at 645
      • Report is at the bedside
      • OT and extra shifts are available
      • EOW and rotate with staff on holidays
      • If placed on call - response time is 30 minutes
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: preterm labor/bleeding/inductions/cesarean sections/hypertension
        • Must be able to float to MB and be able to circulate c-sections
        • All RNs must be able to circulate C/S
        • Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
        • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pitocin
        • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.
        • Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? OB surgical techs
        • OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? OB hospitalist 24/7 - Neo on call 24/7 and rounds daily. Anesthesia in house 24/7.
        • RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): No vents
        • Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips on moms in PACU only
        • EFM System: GE Corometric monitors - Fetalink surveillance
          • Additional Details
          • ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
          • Med Sol prescreens/auto offer & manager has 24 hrs to rescind
          • Need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
          • Modules are required done before start. Modules take 3-4 hours - not billable
          • Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit within the past year.
