Job Title: PET/CT Technologist (Dual Certification) Job Specialty: PET/CT Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hour Days (Monday to Thursday) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: 1-2 years PET/PETCT imaging experience License: State license required as applicable Certifications: Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT(N)) and Computed Tomography (ARRT(CT)), CPR certification Must-Have: High school diploma or GED required, valid state driver's license, venipuncture certification, CA Nuclear License Job Description: - Use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort, safety, and satisfaction. - Interpret physician orders accurately and select appropriate software options for high-quality PET/CT imaging. - Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, performing aseptic injection techniques, and adhering to radiation safety regulations. - Produce high-quality diagnostic images to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment. - Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists. - Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators. - Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, coils, etc.). - Demonstrate flexibility by working in various environments such as outpatient centers, mobile units, and inpatient facilities. - Local travel may be required.
